Terry Bang

Executive Director and President

Taehyun “Terry” Bang is a senior at Arnold O. Beckman High School with a strong interest in anthropology, ethics, and research regarding community. Terry has developed a background in eugenics, forced sterilization, and medical policy from his work in National History Day and other research projects. His work in these areas has introduced him to the fields of health, history, and human rights. His academic interests are rooted in how present-day structural inequalities and medical systems continue to shape culture and community. In college, Terry plans to continue his research regarding anthropology and its relationship with public policy. He hopes to eventually contribute to creating more ethically correct health systems that ensure communities and people are protected. With a strong foundation in leadership and storytelling, Terry hopes to continue leading and expanding the Legacy Archive Foundation to preserve and record community narratives and underscore the voices of our community. In his free time, Terry enjoys exploring creatively through mediums of photography, visual arts, and other digital art forms to express himself.
